USERS INFO: 
Due to the modifications of the communication protocol: URC version 1.0.3.4 (and below) as well as PPM version 3.3.22.0 (and below) can not work with LAP software version 1.1.2 (556) (and above).

Please note that  you can easily update URC and PPM firmware, with the LAP software. Just be sure to have the right communication protocol. Ex. You can update a URC from version 1.0.3.4 to 1.0.3.6 with the LAP software version 1.1.4(561), but you can not update a URC 1.0.3.3 to version 1.0.3.4 with the LAP software version 1.1.2(556).

If you have URC and PPM that does not match with the version of the LAP you need, please send us back the devices for replacement. We apologize for the inconvenient.

 

  NOTE: If you update DSP and MCU please do not restart LAP after DSP update, simply continue with the MCU update.

LAP Net cards

wlap-net--fondCAT5 and  fiber optic redundant audio networking capabilities
Ateïs has developed its own audio networking system ‘’Ateïs-Net’’. This Ethernet based network is able to simultaneously transport 48 audio channels (32 bits, 48KHz sampling rate) with a latency < 1msec together with the necessary control data. For decentralised or big applications, an optional Ateïs-Net networking card can be inserted inside the LAPs.
Thanks to its loop architecture, the Ateïs-Net audio network is fully redundant. If a problem (Line open or shorted) occurs on a loop segment, it will be automatically isolated without affecting the system functionalities.
Up to 32 LAPs can be connected together on the same network. As the Network addresses are auto-negociated, the network set up is very easy.
Different type of networking cards are available:
LAP NET1
With two RJ45 connectors for CAT5 cabling, max 100m between two LAPs.
LAP NET2
With one RJ45 connector (left) and one ST-Fiber connector (right).
LAP NET3
With two ST-Fiber connectors, Multimode, max 2000m between two LAPs.
LAP NET4
With one RJ45 connector (right) and one ST-Fiber connector (left).

PPM Junction

Easy chain-connection of LAP peripherals (URC and PPM), using standard CAT5 cables.

 







KEY FEATURES

  • 5 x RJ45:

  • - connection to previous JB (or LAP bus on the first JB)
    - RS485-only for URC connection
    - easy connection to a Master PPM using the supplied 10 pins cable.
    - connection to first Slave PPM
    - connection to next JB
  • 2 internal screw connectors for 0 dB audio:

  • - audio input from Microphone
    - audio output to PPM speaker
  • 1 jack for additional 24V power supply.
  • 1 internal switch for PPM Master or Slave selection.
  • 1 internal switch for System or Local power supply selection.
